Solution Architect ArcGIS
Location: Kilkenny
Contract: 1 year with review ongoing
Overview of role:
Gaeltec is a leading company operating in the Energy and Telecommunication sectors. We are currently recruiting for Solution Architect ArcGIS within the Telecom department. We are working as a joint venture on the roll-out of the next phase of its fibre broadband network across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of business solutions using ArcGIS technology
- Analysis and conceptualization of solutions that integrate geographic intelligence with other technological systems in a corporate context
- Ensure the correct use of the most appropriate technical solutions and work methodologies in each project
- Evaluate project constraints, find alternatives, alleviate risks, and perform process re-engineering if required
- Responsible for translating each project vision to the development team
- Support to various business areas within the company
- Update stakeholders on the status of product development processes and budgets
- Establish and maintain a good relationship with all team members of the Project within the company and create a good comradeship
- Establish and maintain a good relationship with the managers
To be considered for the Solution Architect ArcGIS position you will Ideally have the following:
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems and Technologies or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in developing projects in the area of Geographic Information Systems using ArcGIS development APIs
- Knowledge of business databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL or other relevant
- Knowledge of operating systems, communications, and data security
- Ability to conceptualize architectures, design and specify technical solutions
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Able to understand the technical specifications of many different software solutions and hardware and perform analysis of different business layers
- Ability to understand, analyse and optimize information flows that support business needs and processes
- Autonomy and responsibility in the development of work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent level of English (oral and written)
