Warehouse Manager

Location: Kilkenny

Contract: 1 year with review

Overview of role:

Gaeltec Utilities are seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic, and talented Warehouse Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a professional multitasker who has the ability to manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, loading and unloading activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.
  • Continuous monitoring and evaluation of available data to ensure optimal warehouse layout and stock integrity is being achieved.
  • Identify opportunities and implement initiatives for continuous improvements in ways of working, quality, consistency, and effectiveness of process.
  • Manage daily processes to ensure all Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics are met or exceeded.
  • Meet regularly with management to review, analyse, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
  • Make sure that the equipment, tools, and machinery are inspected regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.
  • Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing all the reporting needed weekly and monthly basis.
  • Make sure that a daily inspection of the warehouse and grounds and maintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition is performed.
  • Ensure all aspects of warehouse (to include racks and forklifts) maintained to all H&S standards- report any issues to H&S and/or maintenance as appropriate.
  • Responsible for managing warehouse personnel to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, conduct performance reviews, participate in hiring of warehouse employees, invoke disciplinary procedures where necessary, maintain harmonious relations between staff.
  • Assist in training, developing, and managing of the warehouse team. Monitor and enhance individual performance through clearly defined expectations, training, coaching, and mentoring to achieve desired results.
  • Create an inclusive, engaged, and collaborative culture where the role of each team member in the contribution to the organisational goals is understood.
  • Additional Ad-hoc Warehouse Manager duties as needed.

 To be considered for the Warehouse Manager position you will Ideally have the following:

  • Warehouse management or fast-moving supply chain experience, with strong people management skills.
  • 2+ years’ Warehouse Management experience.
  • Highly analytical & comfortable with technology such as using internal data reporting tools to drill down into the data to see what is going on.
  • Warehouse management or fast-moving supply chain experience, with strong people management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise other employees, understanding of the fundamentals of supervision.
  • Good team player, ability to build strong relationships with other operations teams.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining 100% client compliance and policy procedures.
  • Strong understanding of quality requirements and the need for accuracy, with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of current legislation relating to Health, Safety and Environment
  • Skill in organising resources and establishing priorities
  • IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Manual Handling
  • Safe Pass
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining 100% client compliance and policy procedures.

Warehouse Officer

Location: Kilkenny

Contract: 1 year with a view to permanent

Overview of role:

Overview of role:

Gaeltec is a leading company operating in the Energy and Telecommunication sectors. We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Officer to join our existing dynamic and successful team at our Kilkenny Depot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading trucks and trailers
  • Store stock deliveries
  • Prepare, protect, maintain, and secure stock
  • Responsible for stock take and stock rotation
  • Ensure that all required documentation is accurately completed
  • Assist colleagues with locating and issuing specific products
  • Assist goods intake and dispatch, checking for accuracy and quality and highlighting any issues
  • Ensure all goods deliveries are checked so that no substandard, defective and/or incorrect goods are missing or damaged
  • Responsible for operating and maintaining the day-to-day upkeep of the warehouse facility to a high standard
  • Ensure that inward/outward goods recording procedures are always followed
  • Engage with warehousing daily plans and support the goals and targets set out by management
  • Actively participate with all Health & Safety, Quality and other requirements relating to the warehouse

To be considered for the Warehouse Officer position you will Ideally have the following:

  • The ideal candidate should have a number of years’ experience in a warehouse/manual handling position and experience using relevant warehouse equipment and/ or Forklift License
  • Willingness to co-operate with others to solve problems in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • A good working standard in numeracy, literacy, and warehouse equipment/systems
  • Good communication skills and a team player
  • Candidates should also be prepared to work in an environment where H&S and the accurate fulfilment of our customer orders is a key priority
