Gaeltec Utilities Awarded Engineers Ireland CPD Accreditation

01st December 2022 – The prestigious CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Accredited Employer standard has once again been extended to Gaeltec, it has been announced.

It follows an 3rd year accreditation by Engineers Ireland of continuous learning practices developed by Gaeltec for its engineering professionals.

Our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Accredited Employer status for the maximum two-year period. The accreditation underscores our commitment to the professional development of our team and our dedication to setting high standards in support of lifelong learning. As part of the audit by Engineers Ireland last year, Gaeltec was assessed under seven criteria including its training systems, staff mentoring, staff competencies, training and development.

Gaeltec Utilities has been accredited by Engineers Ireland as a CPD Accredited Employer since 2020.

Gaeltec to build one of Ireland’s largest onshore windfarms

Gaeltec have secured a Design and Build Contract to construct one of Ireland’s largest onshore Windfarm Projects in Co Mayo. The scope of the project consists of both the Electrical Balance of Plant which includes the construction of a new 110kV Substation and the associated Grid Connection. Speaking on behalf of Gaeltec – Declan Wynne expressed his delight for the business to be involved in this scheme and he believes the awarding of such a contract afirms the company’s postion in this marketplace.

Gaeltec Secure Scottish Power Framework Contract

Gaeltec who has been successfully delivering substation projects for Scottish Power since 2010 have been awarded another framework contract. The Electrical Substation Framework Contract consists of delivering various substation projects on Scottish Power Distribution Network for the next four years. The project scope includes design and installation.

Gaeltec on track to deliver prestigous 220kV Substation and Grid Connection

Gaeltec is on course to deliver a large scale project for a multinational client. The construction of this 220kV Substation at Clonee Co Meath has been under way since last March and the Gaeltec team are on track to successfully deliver this prestigous contract by summer 2017.  The station is the first of its kind to be privately developed in Ireland and also includes a Grid Connection at 220kV.

Gaeltec Focuses on Fibre Broadband Delivery

Gaeltec has been working extensively on the roll out of a Fibre Broadband Network in Portloaise, Co.Laois where they have been contracted by SIRO to deliver high speed broadband infastructure for thousands of homes. This project when complete will be a major boost to those living and doing business in the region. Speaking on behalf of Gaeltec – Joao Felizardo CEO outlined the challenges of delivering a project of this nature, however he is confident of a successful completion and is privileged that Gaeltec is involved. Gaeltec is also delivering projects of a simliar nature for SIRO in Skibereen Co Cork and Wexford Town in Co Wexford.
